A raised garden, as the name suggests, is a garden structure installed or built higher than ground level. Besides enhancing the appeal of the landscape, such a container garden offers many advantages, including increased production, better drainage, fewer weed and pest problems, reduced soil compaction and ease of harvest. A raised garden also allows gardeners with back problems or limited mobility to continue growing and tending their favorite crops.
